Willow and Butterflies

The current challenge (#36) at Lacy Sunshine is ANYTHING GOES.  I used their 'Willow's Butterfly Friend' as my choice of image, she is so adorable.

The leaves and the frame were from several   Spellbinders dies. The punch was Stampin' Up's Embosslits 'Beautiful Wings' and the flower I found in my stash. The large butterfly was cut from a larger die and a piece of the remains  used for the corner embellishment. The image was coloured with Prismacolor markers and I used Copics for the flesh tones. The card stock is from Stampin' Up  and the designer paper from an old paper pack I had.

Maddie & Clover - Lacy Sunshine

The current challenge (#35) at Lacy Sunshine is 'Show Us Goth and/or  Non traditional Hair.etc. Now I am definitely not a goth person but I figured I could make a card that was goth but in a good way. Does that make sense, anyhow that was what I was striving for.

I used the following die cuts: Marianne designs flourish, Spellbinders 'deckled rectangles', Spellbinders' A2 Matting rectangles'. The punch was Stampin' Up's  Petite Banners and the flower I found in my stash. The image was coloured with Prismacolor markers and I used Copics for the flesh tones. The purple card stock is from Stampin' Up (discontinued) and the purple designer paper was bought at Michaels. The yellow/green/purple paper was found in my stash.I heat embossed the purple deckled background rectangle and the horizontal background bottom piece.
This is another wonderful image from Lacy Sunshine called 'Maddie and Clover' and is the freebie for challenge #34, free that is if you used a Lacy Sunshine stamp  for the previous challenge. If not you can buy it for $2.00  for the duration of this challenge.

The VW Bug

The Volkswagen Bug 1970's version, what a car! My sister, myself  and a couple of friends rented one to  go home for Christmas way back when. Now winters in Canada are cold and this one was no exception. We had barely started out on our journey when we  discouvered to our great dismay the heater didn't work;  the longest three hour drive ever!! We shivered and shook the whole way. Coming back was a bit better as my Mum gave us blankets to wrap up in! But believe me it was COLD, especially for my sister who did the driving and couldn't completely  bundle up. The rest of us just had our noses sticking out:O)!

Guest Designer Spot- Crafting by Designs -Happy Birthday

I am a Guest Designer this week of June 11th, 2014  at 'Crafting by Designs'; theme 'Happy Birthday'!   I am honoured to participate. Please check out their challenge here!

I love Mo Manning digital stamps and this one is called 'thanks'. I thought it would be great for a pre toddler birthday card.
I used a background stamp from Impression Obsession called Kaleidascope which I stamped with VersaMark and heat embossed. The image  is coloured with Prismacolor Markers and I used  Copics for the skin tone (E13,E00,E000). The die cuts are:Marianne Designs butterfly; Memory Box 'Fabulous Phlox ( top 3 layers of the flower); La-la-land Hearts Banner;Spellbinders 'Foliage'. I also used several Stampin Up punches: 'Modern Label' punched out twice and used for the sentiment, 'Photo Corners',half hidden under the image matting and one of their flower punches (not sure of its name) for the bottom layer of the flower. I added some self stick 'bling Stone' and the flowers and butterfly had stickles added to them for some glitz! I also sprayed the flower with some perfect pearls mist.
hope you like:O!
